Abstract

Brno odjakživa představovalo jedno z center českých zemí, což se odrazilo i ve zdejším rychlém rozvoji kinematografie – první stálé kino otevřelo už roku 1907. V následujících letech v různých částech města vzniklo několik desítek kin, přičemž každé si udržovalo své specifické rysy závislé ať už na osobě provozovatele nebo místu, kde se nacházelo. Představený příspěvek na příkladu Brna představí, jak zmíněná specifikace zapadala do obecných tendencí vývoje sítě kin na území České republiky.

Abstract (in English)

Brno has always been one of the centres of the Czech lands, which was also reflected in the rapid development of cinema here - the first permanent cinema opened as early as 1907. In the years that followed, several dozen cinemas were built in different parts of the city, each maintaining its own specific features, depending on the person of the operator or the location. This paper will present the example of Brno to show how the above-mentioned specification fitted into the general tendencies of the development of the cinema network in the Czech Republic.
