Abstract
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Athens Polytechnic Uprising, Masaryk University organized the International Conference Literature and Totalitarianism (on all subjects related to narrations about totalitarianism in national literatures), which was held on November 15-16, 2023, at Brno, Czech Republic. Among others, the conference discussed aspects of Power in literary texts, the role of literature in raising public awareness, the relationship between literary production and politics, memory and ideology, dystopian narratives regarding oppressive systems and literary texts in post-totalitarian epochs.
