Abstract

Vyžádaná přednáška se zabývala rolí nastupující umělé inteligence ve vztahu k akademickému publikování a hodnocení vědy v česku. Na začátku byli posluchači stručně obeznámeni s procesem publikování vědeckých výstupů a hodnocením vědy v ČR dle metodiky M17+. Po tomto exkurzu se přednáška věnoval hrozbám a příležitostem, které přináší plošná implementace AI nástrojů do těchto procesů. Jako stěžejní body přednášky a debaty patřily: Texty bez čtenářů a řešení textové nadprodukce vůči kvalitě a systému hodnocení, Matoušův efekt jako důsledek této nadprodukce a jeho rostoucí hrozba skrze AI nástroje, Data výzkumná i osobní: otázka vlastnictví vzhledem k data miningovým praktikám AI vývojářů, Informační a digitální gramotnost jako nutná kompetence pro život a práci v tomto prostředí a nakonec riziko Desinterpretace výsledků výzkumů jako důraz na statistickou povahu LLM.

Abstract (in English)

The requested lecture dealt with emerging artificial intelligence's role in academic publishing and science evaluation in the Czech Republic. Initially, the audience was briefly introduced to publishing scientific outputs and evaluating science in the Czech Republic according to the M17+ methodology. After this excursion, the lecture focused on the threats and opportunities posed by the widespread implementation of AI tools in these processes. The critical points of the lecture and debate included "texts without readers" and dealing with textual overproduction vis-à-vis quality and the evaluation system, the Matthew effect as a consequence of this overproduction and its growing threat through AI tools, Research and personal data: the question of ownership given the data mining practices of AI developers, Information and digital literacy as a necessary competence for living and working in this environment and finally the risk of Desinterpretation of research results as an emphasis on the statistical nature of LLM.
