The effect of the addition of plasminogen to the standard recombinant alteplase in the treatment of cerebral infarction was tested. A rat model of systemic embolism was used for this purpose. The design of the model is set to simulate as much as possible the course of thrombolysis in the human organism and the implementation of preclinical research into clinical practice is realistic.
