This article provides an overview of a survey conducted on smart grid software simulators, specifically focusing on their capabilities and implications for the advancement of smart grid research and development. The survey findings shed light on the role of simulators in simulating communication architectures within smart grids and their impact on system communication. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the importance of continued research and development in smart grid simulators to enhance security protocols and technologies, ensuring the resilience and reliability of future smart grid systems.
