Abstract

Repríza výstavy Jaroslav Šmídek: nábytek a interiérová tvorba, která se konala 3. 5. – 4. 6. 2023 v technickém podlaží vily Tugendhat. Výstava byla připravena ke 100. výročí narození Jaroslava Šmídka (1923–2005), výtvarníka v Ústředí lidové umělecké výroby (1951–1955) a návrháře ve Vývoji nábytkářského průmyslu v Brně (1955–1966), který svými návrhy sektorového skříňového i kuchyňského nábytku a čalouněného sedacího nábytku významně ovlivnil skladbu produktů nábytkářského průmyslu v Československu.

Abstract (in English)

A reprise of the exhibition Jaroslav Šmídek: Furniture and Interior Design, which took place 3 May - 4 June 2023 on the technical floor of Villa Tugendhat. The exhibition was prepared to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jaroslav Šmídek (1923-2005), a designer at the Folk Art Production Centre (1951-1955) and a designer at the Development of the Furniture Industry in Brno (1955-1966), who significantly influenced the composition of the products of the furniture industry in Czechoslovakia with his designs for sectoral cabinet and kitchen furniture and upholstered seating.
