Abstract

Monografie je vyvrcholením tříletého projektu TA ČR věnovaného vnitřním a vnějším periferiím Česka. V multidisciplinárním rozsahu za významné účasti geografů realizoval bezmála 20 výstupů rozmanitého zaměření, a to jak po stránce metodologické, tematické, územního určení. Výzkumnému týmu se podařilo získat cenné nové poznatky reflektující především aktuální situaci tohoto specifického území v kontextu regionálního rozvoje (regionální politiky). Výstup zahrnuje rovněž dvě obrazové přílohy: originální vymezení aspirující na specializovanou mapu s odborným obsahem (RIV). Vedle ambicí ve sféře akademické vč. edukační usiluje publikace také o využití v aplikační rovině, zejména pak při usměrňování regionálního rozvoje Česka resp. podpoře znevýhodněných (hospodářsky a sociálně ohrožených) území celostátního i krajského měřítka.

Abstract (in English)

The monograph is the culmination of a three-year project of TA ČR devoted to the inner and outer peripheries of Czechia. In a multidisciplinary scope, with significant participation of geographers, the project produced nearly 20 outputs of diverse focus, both methodologically, thematically, and in terms of spatial destination. The research team managed to obtain valuable new knowledge reflecting especially the current situation of this specific territory in the context of regional development (regional policy). The output also includes two pictorial annexes: an original delineation aspiring to become a specialised map with specialist content (RIV). In addition to its ambitions in the academic sphere, including educational, the publication also aims to be used at the application level, especially in the direction of regional development in Czechia or support for disadvantaged (economically and socially endangered) areas on a national and regional scale.
