Abstract

Studie publikuje a komentuje tři dopisy mladoboleslavského advokáta a sběratele moderního umění Artura Kornella, které v letech 1933 a 1934 adresoval podnikateli, významnému mecenáši a sběrateli umění Jindřichu Waldesovi a jeho ženě Hedvice. Kornell v nich adresátům překládá návrh na zprostředkování nákupu obrazů od soudobých českých malířů a informuje o svém záměru napsat studii na téma České výtvarné umění a židé.

Abstract (in English)

The study publishes and comments on three letters of the Mladá Boleslav lawyer and modern art collector Artur Kornell, which he addressed in 1933 and 1934 to businessman, important patron and art collector Jindřich Waldes and his wife Hedvika. In them, Kornell translates to the addressees a proposal to mediate the purchase of paintings by contemporary Czech painters and informs them of his intention to write a study on the topic of Czech fine arts and the Jews.
