Abstract

In English

The potential of education outside the classroom for various domains of student learning, whether cognitive, but also affective, social and physical-behavioral, has been clearly demonstrated by many researches. However, this potential can be turned into reality only if we understand the specifics and the role of the environment in the context of education realized outside the classroom, on three different levels. The first of them is the saturation of the specific environment with content and at the same time the internal structure of this content. The second is a possible way of using the specific environment by the teacher, be it in the sense of an arena for teaching or a source of information for student learning. Equally important is understanding the role played by the environment in student learning. Realizing the nature of the differences between teaching in the classroom and outside the classroom leads to the efficiency of the teacher's work and thus to the maximization of the impact on the students' learning.
