Abstract
MAPHIS is an open-source application allowing users to create hierarchichal segmentations of arthropods, extract various measurements from the generated segmentations and finally export the measurements for further analysis. The application features an automatic segmentation method (with the use of a convolutional neural network) and several interactive tools. Furthermore, through its plugin system users can extend or customize the capabilities of the application.
