Abstract
On March 6, 2024, the Legal Writing Institute hosted an online conference entitled What are Global Legal Skills Anyway? A True Global Perspective. Panelists included Lurene Contento (Chicago Kent), Luca Forgione (Forgione Law), Yue Liu (Peking University), and David Sehnálek. The focus was on identifying the key legal skills that a good lawyer operating in an international environment should possess, including the use of AI technologies, and the possibility of teaching these skills in law schools. The Legal Writing Institute is a respected American non-profit organization, founded in 1985, whose mission is to improve the way lawyers communicate through its work and research. The Institute's work is based on the premise that effective legal communication is essential to the well-being of society, the justice system, and the legal profession.

Dne 6. 3. 2024 proběhla on-line konference pořádaná Legal Writing Institute nazvaná What are Global Legal Skills Anyway?: A True Global Perspective. Jako panelisté se konference zúčastnili Lurene Contento (Chicago Kent), Luca Forgione (Forgione Law), Yue Liu (Peking University) a David Sehnálek. Zaměřena byla na identifikaci klíčových právních dovedností, kterými by dobrý právník působící v mezinárodním prostředí měl disponovat, a to včetně využití technologií AI, a dále možnosti výuky těchto dovedností na právnických fakultách. Legal Writing Institute je respektovaná americká nezisková organizace, založená v roce 1985, jejímž cílem je svou činností a výzkumem přispívat ke zlepšování způsobu, jakým právníci komunikují. Činnost institutu vychází z premisy, že efektivní právní komunikace má zásadní význam pro blaho společnosti, soudního systému a právnické profese.
