Publikace vychází u příležitosti konání stejnojmenné výstavy sochařky Elzbiety Grosseové, která se konala v termínu 2.–29. 9. 2024 v pražské Galerii Nová síň. Publikace zasazuje tvorbu sochařky česko-polského původu, žijící od 70. let v Horoměřicích u Prahy, do širšího umělecko-historické kontextu, v němž se propojuje české a polské umělecké prostředí. Editorkou katalogu je kurátorka a historička umění Martina Mrázová, která se ve svém textu věnuje tvorbě Elzbiety Grosseové od počátků až do současnosti. Tvorbu umělkyně zasazuje do souvislostí varšavské umělecké scény v 60. a na počátku 70. let a sleduje spletité cesty jejího uměleckého vývoje přes sochařské realizace v železe a tepaném plechu, které spojuje s pracemi Jerzyho Jarnuszkiewicze, až k současným abstraktním keramickým plastikám, které završuje cyklus objektů představených na výstavě Maraton. Stostránková publikace obsahuje také texty samotné umělkyně, přibližující intence jejího posledního sochařského cyklu, a text sběratelky keramické plastiky Iwony Siewierske. Katalog v česko-anglické jazykové mutaci, obsahující bohatou fotografickou dokumentaci, graficky zpracoval grafický designér a typograf, prof. Rostislav Vaněk.

The publication is published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name by the sculptor Elzbieta Grosseová, which was held from 2 to 29 9. 2024 in the Prague Gallery Nová siň. The publication places the work of a sculptor of Czech-Polish origin, who has lived in Horoměřice near Prague since the 1970s, in a wider artistic-historical context, in which the Czech and Polish artistic environments are connected. The editor of the catalog is curator and art historian Martina Mrázová, who in her text focuses on Elzbieta Grosse's work from the beginning to the present day. She places the artist's work in the context of the Warsaw art scene in the 1960s and early 1970s and traces the intricate paths of her artistic development through sculptural realizations in iron and wrought iron, which she connects with the works of Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz, to the contemporary abstract ceramic sculptures that complete the cycle objects presented at the Marathon exhibition. The one-hundred-page publication also contains texts by the artist herself, explaining the intentions of her latest sculptural cycle, and a text by ceramic sculpture collector Iwona Siewierska. The catalog in the Czech-English language mutation, containing rich photographic documentation, was graphically prepared by the graphic designer and typographer, prof. Rostislav Vanek
