In the last few years, there has been significant technological development, which not only affects the sphere of economic production, but also education. Vocational education must respond to these changes and challenges, which is why the use of virtual reality and artificial intelligence is penetrating the teaching of vocational education and training. In the article, we therefore focus on defining the approach to virtual reality in wider connections, but with an emphasis on virtual reality that can be used in the teaching process with the possibility of supplementing the teaching by using artificial intelligence. We present particular examples of the use of these new technologies in practical teaching on secondary vocational schools as well as their potential use for teaching in the future.
