Abstract (in English)
Why is our past important for our present (and future)? What is the role of the humanities in today's society? Why do we feel they are biased or outdated? Are the natural and technical disciplines really objective? Do they really move humanity for the better? The 39th episode of the podcast offers more questions than answers. Archaeologist Jiří Macháček and art historian Ivan Foletti introduce our new magazine, which seeks to find these answers. The magazine is not called Spirals after all, but Re:vize, and we hope it will spark discussions at least as long and passionate as our debate over its title.
