Abstract

Na konci 40. let minulého století se z Řecka, zmítaného občanskou válkou, vydala mnohatisícová vlna uprchlíků do Československa. Zhruba o třicet let později došlo v Řecku k politické změně, která uprchlíkům umožnila návrat do vlasti. Mezitím však v Československu vyrostla nová generace Řeků, která si buď zemi svých rodičů nepamatovala nebo ji nikdy ani nenavštívila. Tento článek je zasazen do teoretického rámce výzkumu návratové migrace. Sleduje rozdíly v prezentaci narativů aktérů o motivaci k migraci zpět "domů" . Dotýká se také výzkumného pole transnacionalismu, přičemž se zabývá otázkou, zda narátoři udržují nějakou formu přeshraničních vazeb na zemi, ze které migrovali.

Abstract (in English)

At the end of the 1940s, a wave of many thousands of refugees made their way from civil war-torn Greece to Czechoslovakia. About thirty years later, a political change took place in Greece, allowing the refugees to return to their homeland. In the meantime, however, a new generation of Greeks had grown up in Czechoslovakia who either did not remember their parents' country or had never even visited it. This article is set within the theoretical framework of return migration research. It traces differences in the presentation of actors' narratives of motivations to migrate back "home" It also touches on the research field of transnationalism, addressing the question of whether narrators maintain some form of cross-border ties to the country from which they migrated.
