Abstract

In the original language

Dynamic Network Actor-oriented Models (DyNAMs) aim to capture the dynamic, relational, and actor-oriented nature of interaction, and are specifically tailored to fine-grained time-stamped data. This presentation has two primary aims: to introduce DyNAMs along with the key differences between DyNAMs and the related network models, and to illustrate their application through a case study of group work interactions in educational settings. The practical usability of DyNAMs will be demonstrated through an exploration of how temporal, relational, attribute-based, and group-level mechanisms influence interaction dynamics within classroom group work. Furthermore, the presentation will address current challenges associated with applying DyNAMs and suggest solutions to these issues.
