Abstract

V originále

If we explore the history of the translation of Czech prose into Russian from the 2024 perspective, it becomes obvious that the period of literary translations from Czech into Russian, which started in 1992, has already come to an end. In my presentation, I revise my earlier observations and describe this thirty-year period as a completed stage in the history of Russian-Czech literary exchange from the socio-cultural perspective. Employing quantitative methods, as well as genre repertoire examination, and considering the involvement of various agents of translation, I propose a periodization of contemporary translations of Czech prose into Russian. This periodization also reflects the shifts in the Russian book market over the thirty-year span under consideration.
