Abstract (in English)
Art evolves from the more primitive to the more perfect. Historical literature and paintings are an accurate mirror of the times in which they were created. And what myths about art do you believe? In the 41st episode of the podcast, art historian Ivan Foletti and archaeologist Jiří Macháček break down widespread but often completely misguided ideas about the development of human civilization and its visual culture. Using the story of a unique archaeological find, a fragment of a bronze warrior's helmet from Pohansko, they also show how important the dialogue between disciplines is, which can completely turn around the great traditional stories of our disciplines.
