Abstract

Úvod: Oblast klinických studií je proměnlivým, ale vysoce regulovaným prostředím. Ze strany autorit jsou kladeny velké nároky na kvalitu klinického výzkumu, efektivní využívání prostředků a komunikaci výsledků směrem k odborné i laické veřejnosti. Trénink v těchto dovednostech je ale na národní i evropské úrovni více než omezený. Tuto mezeru nyní částečně zaplňuje kurikulum vytvořené v projektu CONSCIOUS II. Metodika: CONSCIOUS II je tříletý projekt realizovaný pod vedením Masarykovy univerzity ve spolupráci s pěti evropskými univerzitami. Na přípravě kurikula se podíleli metodologové klinického výzkumu, statistici, regulační specialisté, výzkumníci, manažeři klinických studií, učitelé a didaktici. Výsledky: Kurikulum tvoří soubor 12 prakticky orientovaných kapitol. Kapitoly pokrývají klíčová témata a rozvíjejí klíčové dovednosti zkoušejících 21. století, PhD studentů a mladých výzkumníků. Kapitoly jsou doplněné o záznamy lekcí pilotního kurzu. Součástí kurikula je tréninkové prostředí umožňující rozvoj digitálních dovedností, interakci a vzájemné mezioborové, meziuniverzitní a mezinárodní propojování. Díky tréninkové platformě se kurikulum stává vysoce inkluzivní. Webové prostředí podporuje přenositelnost a snadnou implementaci do stávajících studijních plánů. Celkový rozsah kurikula odpovídá 75 výukovým hodinám ve formátu flipped classroom. Cílem sdělení je prezentovat jednotlivé výstupy, upozornit na jejich stěžejní části, vysvětlit způsoby několikastupňové evaluace a doložit tak kvalitu materiálů. Dále je cílem nastínit možnosti začlenění kurikula do postgraduálního vzdělávání v klinické farmakologii a epidemiologii. Závěr: Projekt CONSCIOUS II přináší inovativní a široce přenositelný vzdělávací program v oblasti klinického výzkumu. Kurikulum zrcadlí aktuální změny regulace klinických studií a poskytuje návod, jak se v této oblasti orientovat. V neposlední řadě se použité moderní výukové metody samy o sobě můžou stát inspirací k inovaci výuky. Podpořeno ze státního rozpočtu prostřednictvím MŠMT projektem VVI CZECRIN (LM2023049) a programem Erasmus+ (2021-1-CZ01-KA220-HED-000023177).

Abstract (in English)

Introduction: The field of clinical trials is a dynamic but highly regulated environment. The authorities place great demands on the quality of clinical research, the efficient use of resources and the communication of results to the professional and lay public. However, training in these skills is more than limited at national and European level. This gap is now partly filled by the curriculum developed in the CONSCIOUS II project.Methodology: CONSCIOUS II is a three-year project led by Masaryk University in collaboration with five European universities. Clinical research methodologists, statisticians, regulatory specialists, researchers, clinical trial managers, teachers and didacticians were involved in the curriculum development. Results: The curriculum consists of a set of 12 practice-oriented chapters. The chapters cover key topics and develop key skills for 21st-century investigators, PhD students and early career researchers. The chapters are supplemented by recordings of lessons from the pilot course. The curriculum includes a training environment to enable digital skills development, interaction and interdisciplinary, inter-university and international networking. The training platform makes the curriculum highly inclusive. The web-based environment supports transferability and easy implementation into existing curricula. The total scope of the curriculum corresponds to 75 hours in a flipped classroom format. The aim of the presentation is to demonstrate the individual deliverables, highlight their core components, explain the methods of multi-stage assessment and thus demonstrate the quality of the materials. In addition, the aim is to outline the possibilities of incorporating the curriculum into postgraduate training in clinical pharmacology and epidemiology. Conclusion. The curriculum reflects the current changes in clinical trials regulation and provides guidance on how to navigate the field. Last but not least, the modern teaching methods used can themselves inspire teaching innovation.
