Abstract

Karcinom pankreatu (CaP) je spojen s extrémně špatnou prognózou z několika důvodů. Obvykle je diagnostikován v pokročilém stadiu, což je dáno často asymptomatickým průběhem onemocnění nebo nespecifickými symptomy (pocit nadýmání, jídlo mi nedělá dobře, pocit těžkosti, netrávení, střídání zácpy, průjem) a nedostatkem senzitivních a specifických nádorových markerů. Špatná prognóza tohoto onemocnění je také dána omezenými možnostmi screeningu a kurativní intervence pro krátký „lead time“ při rychle metastazujícím onemocnění.

Abstract (in English)

Pancreatic carcinoma (CaP) is assocd with an extremely poor prognosis from several reasons. It is usually diagnosed in an advanced stage stage, which is often asymptomatic during the course of the disease or non-specific symptoms (feeling of bloating, food does not make me feel well, feeling heavy, indigestion, alternating constipation, diarrhea) and deficiency sensitive and specific tumor markers. The prognosis of this disease is poor also due to limited screening options and curative interventions for a short "lead time" in rapidly metastasizing disease.
