Abstract
In the chapter dedicated to media usage and media-related competencies, we follow the unifying layout for all the chapters in the second book. In the introduction, we situate the two dimensions concerning deliberative communications, followed by a theoretical exposition of the dimensions' conceptualization. Using the fourteen case studies, we reflect on the findings from individual countries from a broader and comparative perspective, considering the different historical, societal, and cultural developments of each.
