Vstupní text ke katalogu tvorby Franze Antona Maulbertsche v Čechách a na Moravě diskutuje otázku, zde je možné ustavit určitý vztah mezi vizuální a obsahovou podobou umělcova díla a mentálními stereotypy v pociťování světa moravských objednavatelů a pozdních osvícenců. Téma je postupně probíráno v dílčích sondách: mentální stereotypy a pojem „kolektivní reprezentace“; pozdní osvícenství na Moravě; tradiční barokní alegorie a svět nového mecenášství; arkádská kritika a význam nového vizuálního myšlení; umění a antropologický obrat; kolektivní reprezentace a výzva k dialogickému vcítění se do bohatství vizuální formy.
In English
The introductory text to the catalog of the work of Franz Anton Maulbertsch in Bohemia and Moravia discusses the question, if it is possible to establish a certain relationship between the visual form and content of the artist's work with mental stereotypes in the sense of the world of Moravian patrons and late enlightened people. The topic is gradually discussed in partial probes: mental stereotypes and the concept of "collective representation"; the late Enlightenment in Moravia; traditional baroque allegory and the world of new patronage; Arcadian criticism and the importance of new visual thinking; art and the anthropological turn; collective representation and an invitation to dialogically empathize with the richness of visual form.
