Abstract
V originále
In this research, we investigate the relationship between a stress stimulus comparable to transport or snail handling and the release of A. cantonensis larvae infective to humans. We hypothesize that manipulation or unwanted transporting of molluscs represents a stress stimulus that can increase the release of L3 and increase the chance of accidental infection in humans. The results of the study confirmed the release of larvae depending on the stress stimulus. However, the small number of released larvae probably does not pose a significant risk of human infection.
