Sborník uvozují dva koncepčně orientované texty; přinášejí mimo jiné zamyšlení nad edukační tradicí učebnice v českém a slovenském prostředí. Následuje specifická, ovšem neméně důležitá reflexe ze strany těch, kdo se podílejí na vydávání učebnic v nakladatelstvích. Hana Glombová, Jan Dvořák a Stanislav Velčev přitom zprostředkovali konkrétní zkušenost s vytvářením učebnicové řady Dějepis pro střední školy v brněnském nakladatelství Didaktis a doplnili ji o zpětné hodnocení tohoto projektu. Vlastní jádro předkládaného souboru představují příspěvky z praxe – tedy učitelů a učitelek a jejich vztahu k učebnicím.

The collection opens with two conceptually focused texts, which include reflections on the educational tradition of textbooks in the Czech and Slovak contexts. This is followed by an equally significant contribution from those involved in textbook publishing, sharing their concrete experiences in creating the History for Secondary Schools series at the Brno-based Didaktis publishing house, along with a retrospective evaluation of the project. The core of the collection consists of contributions from teachers, focusing on their relationship with textbooks and insights from classroom practice.
