Described are principles of pathophysiology, examination and therapy of paralytic scoliosis.An adolescent girl,suffering from collapse of the spine,making standing and sitting impossible,was surgically treated. The Isola segmental fixation was used restoring the spine stability, enabling her to sit and stand again.
