Abstract

V originále

The members of the family Diplozoidae, are oviparous monogenean parasites, living on the gills of cyprinid fishes. According to the last extensive revision, around 60 species of diplozoids are named to date. Genetic differences among four species of diplozoids were sought by restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLPs) of the second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2) of ribosomal DNA. The genetic markers seem to be an objective method to distinguish early development stages of diplozoids.
