Abstract |
---|
Abstract (in English) |
---|
The essay recapitulates major tracks of the argument about the decline of the traditional middle classes as social carriers of the ethos and practices of modern civil society. It then argues that current institutional forms of civil society (new social movements in particular) and corresponding public practices coincide with the ethos, social character and individual dispositions of those who today represent an important part of so called new middle classes. |
