Abstract
A low vision centre was established in the 1st eye clinic , st. Anna Faculty hospital , Brno in 1995. There were examing 986 patients during this period. The low vision centre serves as consultant between rehabilitation centre and clinic. The most frequent patients diagnosis were senile macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The author discusses optimal organisation of low vision care.
