Abstract
The present study reports the results of molecular analysis of the second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2) of the ribosomal DNA of six species of diplozoid monogeneans: Eudiplozoon nipponicum, Paradiplozoon bliccae, P. homoion, P. megan, P. pavlovskii and P. sapae by PCR and sequencing. The sequences clearly demonstrate discrimination at the species level and confirm the validity of species determined by morphological identification.
