Abstract
The aim of this study is to compare two main news broadcasting (BBC1 and CT1) from the semantic perspective and to decide if there are significant differences in the quality according to chosen criteria. It is possible to prove, that there are significant differences in quality of BBC 1 and CT 1 main news. The CT 1 conception of news is still based on pre-performed opinions, the BBC 1 on objective and open information. The difference is not a defference of degree, yet a level and is verified by all three kind of analysis.
