Abstract
V originále
High bromide intake in the rat dams caused: i) a gradual decrease in the consumption of diet; ii) a drop in the production rate of mother's milk; iii) a concomitant decrease in the extent of iodine transfer through mother's milk to the young. We suppose that the observed decline in the production of mother's milk and, consequently, also in the transfer of iodine to the sucklings could be caused by the inhibition of secretion of prolactin.
