Abstract
Basic oscillatory properties of solutions of linear differential and difference equations are presented. A particular attention is devoted to second order differential equations (Sec. 1), higher order equations and differential systems (Sec. 2), second order difference equations (Sec. 3), symplectic difference systems and related equations (Sec. 4) and finally to dynamic equations on time scales as a unification of the discrete and continuous oscillation theories.
