V originále

První schizofrenní epizoda se nejčastěji projeví v adolescenci. Včasná diagnostika a léčba ovlivní další průběh onemocnění. Důležitý je psychologický aspekt komplexního terapeutického přístupu a kontakt s rodinou. Při časné diagnostice hrají hlavní roli praktičtí léčkaři. V popředí zájmu je možnost zasáhnout již v prodromální fázi onemocnění.

Adolescence is the critical period for the manifestation of the first-episode schizophrenia. The outcome is influenced by early diagnosis and treatment. The psychological approach and contact with family members belong to very important aspects of the complex treatment. The role of GPs in the diagnosis of the first-episode schizophrenia is stressed. The research is focused on the possibility of intervention in the prodromal phase of illness.
