The study follows the difference in anxiety-trait of children at the age of 5 and 8 years in relation to specific learning disorders. The authors found that children with diagnosed learning disorders exhibit higher measure of anxiety-trait in comparison to children that do not have learning difficulties of the above-mentioned character. From the results it is also clear that 5-year-old children, in comparison to 8-year-old children, appear to have generally fewer sings of possible anxiety (regardless the fact if learning disorders appeared or did not appear in them) and that the initial anxiety-trait of 5-year-old children with later diagnosis of specific learning disorder or without them is comparable.
