The paper deals with the key words of Schenker’s theory: Urlinie (Fundamental line) or Ursatz (Fundamental structure) and Fernhören. Both the moments, speculative and psychological, are often perceived separately. Nevertheless, in the original Schenker's theory, their relation is complementary.
