Kniha představuje první pokus o odbornou monografii, jež se v českém prostředí vypořádává s psychologickou analýzou lhaní, přetvářky a (ne)pravdivé komunikace. Autor si všímá kontextů neverbálního komunikování, ale také politiky, marketingu, nebo takových speciálních oblastí jako jsou kognitivní mapy v paměti (a nepravdivá "zakreslení") v těchto mapách.

The title represents the first attempt to cover the field of the psychological analysis of the lying, deception and truthful communication (in the Czech psychology). The content of the book covers such areas as a marketing (and lying within the advertising), psychological experiments in this area, nonverbal deception, lying in the politics, non-truthful content in our memory (the problem of cognitive representations) etc.
