The aim of the study was to determinate differences in the baroreflex blood pressure regulation between children with white coat effect, hypertensive and healthy children; 56 children (11-21 years)were examined.Overweight in children was associated with an increase of systolic blood pressure. Baroreflex sensitivity was decreased in both, hypertensives and and those with white coat effect. In hypertensives, BRS was very low, dampening effect of baroreflex on variability in systolic blood pressure was insufficient and it was significantly higher comparing to controls.
