Abstract

V originále

We have investigated immunostaining for some ECM molecules ( chondroitin sulfate, tenascin, thrombospondin, fibronectin) in the DRG satellite cells following CCI of the peripheral nerve. The experimental CCI was applied ipsilaterally on the spinal nerve and the sciatic nerve of Wistar rats (12 females, 280g). Both ipsilateral and contralateral DRG (L4-L5) were removed 1, 2, 3, 5 weeks after the operation. The immunofluorescence staining for ECM molecules was compared in the sections through ipsilateral and contralateral DRG by an image analysis system. The satellite cell sheaths of ipsilateral DRG (L4-L5) displayed a higher brightness of immunofluorescence staining for investigated ECM molecules in comparison to the contralateral ones. The changes were more noticeable after CCI applied near to DRG (4mm) than in longer distance (40mm). An increased immunostaining for the ECM molecules in the satellite cells following CCI of peripheral nerve suggested that the changes may be implicated in growth stimuli for sympathetic sprouts and formation of sympathetic baskets.

In Czech
