Na obilninách bylo v ČR zjištěno 20 druhů vrtalek. Autor předkládá druhová spektra vrtalek zjištěných metodou smýkání v porostech ječmene a pšenice v letech 1995-1997, graf sezónních změn abundance vybraných druhů v porostech ječmene a přehled všech zaznamenaných případů poškození obilnin v letech 1995-1997. Přikládá 3 fotografie typického poškození listů ječmene. V roce 1997 byl na ochranu obilnin proti vrtalkám registrován přípravek Decis EW 50 v dávce 0,1-0,15 l/ha.

Altogether twenty species of leaf mining flies were recorded on cereals in the Czech Republic. Survey of species detected in barley and wheat with help of sweeping method during the period 1995-1997, graph of seasonal changes of abundance of selected species in barley and list of all recorded cases of damaged barley crops during 1995-1997 are documented. Three photographs of typical damage on barley leaves are attached. Plant protection product Decis EW 50 in dose 0,1-0,15 l/ha was registered for protection of cereals against leaf mining flies in 1997.
