Abstract

V 90. letech došlo v ČR k výraznému poklesu porodů dětí adolescentních žen. Statistiky uvádějí, že zatímco na počátku této dekády byla plodnost 15 až 19letých žen 44,6, v roce 1998 to bylo 16,4. Adolescentní mateřství přesto zůstává významným marginálním sociálním problémem, který způsobuje závažné zásahy do individuálních životních drah mladých lidí.Mezi dimenze tohoto problému patří slabší úroveň ekonomického zabezpečení, závislost na příbuzenských sociálních sítích způsobené špatnou finanční, bytovou a sociální situací, vyšší míra rozvodovosti těchto žen spojená s častým osamoceným rodičovstvím matky v citlivém období věku dítěte. V našem příspěvku se budeme zabývat vzdělanostním deficitem adolescentních matek jako významným negativním důsledkem příliš raných těhotenství a mateřství.

Abstract (in English)

The study of motherhood and education of adolescent women is analysis the influence of early pregnancy and motherhood on the gaining of professional preparation and education of young women.It comes from empirical data found in the research of the set of 283 Brno mothers between 14-19 years of age. The results of the study identific two groups of adolescent women in the context of educational career. In the first group of girls, the birth of the child is the primary reason for breaking the educational career. In the case of the second group, it is probable that the lower educational level and early birth of the child are two consequences of certain life orientational of young women. The given findings are of significant importance for the creation of educational programmes for adolescent women.
