Nonmagnetic carriers activated by lanthanide ions were used for cleavage of plasmid DNA pBR322. Following carriers were used: methacrylate copolymer covered by EDTA groups and Chelex 100 - cross-linked polystyrene beads with IDA groups (iminodiacetic acid). Carriers were activated by lanthanide ions: Eu3+, La3+, Nd3+, Pr3+ a Gd3+.
