Abstract
Na osnovnih šolah sodi poučevanje o neživi naravi, mineralih in kamninah med manj priljubljene tako pri učencih kot pri nekaterih učiteljih. Poglejmo si, kako stanje izboljšati. V praksi je namreč preverjeno, da dobre rezultate dosežemo z uporabo najrazličnejših vizualnih pripomočkov. Glavni takšni pripomočki so šolske zbirke mineralov in kamnin. Vendar so te zbirke na nekaterih šolah v slabem stanju oz. so nepopolne, t.j. ne vsebujejo vseh osnovnih mineralov in kamnin, ali pa ti niso pravilno poimenovani, ker jih učitelj ne zna poimenovati ali pa nima interesa zbirko vzdrževati. Na nekaterih šolah pa takšnih zbirk sploh nimajo. Za izboljšanje stanja je najpomembnejši interes šole in predvsem učiteljev naravoslovja.
Abstract (in English)
Our practical experience says the tuition of geological content of the subject at primary schools is less popular among teachers as well as pupils than the biological one. It is recommendable to involve TV and video programs passed from the pop-scientifical broadcasting to modernize and perfect comprehensibility of sophisticated mineralogy, petrography, palaentology and general geology learning and popularity of the discipline. We find highly recommendable e.g. 12-part Japanese series Miraculous Planet or quinary series by BBC History of Earth.
