Abstract

In English

The work submitted reports preliminary results of a taxonomic composition of harvesment (Opiliones) of the Padva National Nature Reserve (Veľká Fatra Mts.). Samples of harvestmen were collected during one season from forest, meadow, and forest meadow ecotone. In total 108 individuals belonging to 8 species were collected. The greatest numbers of species were collected from forest, and the least from meadow ecotone. Eudominant and dominant taxa during the period of observation were Lophopilio palpinalis, Mitopus morio, Oligolophus tridens, and Platybunus bucephalus. Until now, the occurence of nine species of harvestmen have been listed for the Padva, from equivalent mountain forest conditions in the Western Carpathians.
