Abstract
Two infrared (IR) spectral types are discerned in cassiterites with OH defect concentrations ranging from several wt. ppm H2O in synthetic melt-grown samples up to 0.017 wt.% in natural samples of hydrothermal origin.

U kasiteritů různé geneze byly vyčleněny 2 typy na základě analýzy IR-spekter. Kvantita OH-defektů se pohybuje v rozmezí od několika ppm H2O v syntetických krystalech kasiteritu, připravovaných z taveniny, až po 0.017 hm. % v přírodních hydrotermálních kasiteritech.
