Abstract

Tento článek ve třech rovinách přispívá k diskusi sociálního jevu dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti mládeže, především jeho sociálních a osobních souvislostí. Na základě life course theory je obhajována nutnost výzkumu specificky zaměřeného na tuto skupinu. Dále jsou shrnuty výsledky zahraničních výzkumů, které byly realizovány v této oblasti. Závěrem jsou prezentovány první výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu, na němž se podílelo 16 dlouhodobě nezaměstaných absolventů škol. Autorka usiluje o nalezení odpovědi na otázku: Jak si tito mladí lidé volili své povolání?

Abstract (in English)

This article deals with social problem of youth unemployment at three levels. First, we justify the need for special research of long-term unemployed young people by employing life course theory. Second, results of foreign studies are summarised. And last, we present first findings of our own research in this area. In this qualitative research participated 16 long-term unemployed (8-30 months) young people at the age of 20-23. We try to answer the question: How did they choose their profession?
