Článek se pokouší vysvětlit odilšnost ve využívání rodičovské dovolené (či období, které je pod tímto pojmem obecně rozuměno) v České republice a ve Francii. Hypotéza vychází z reflexe zkušenosti francouzských a českých rodičů třídětných rodin.

The article offers an explanation of the difference of use of the parental leave (or the periond understood by it) in the Czech Republic and in France. The hypothesis is based on experience of parents of families with three children.
