Abstract

V originále

Endovenous laser treatment allows delivery of laser energy directly into the blood vessels lumen in order to produce endothelial and vein wall damage with subsequent fibrosis. The laser therapy was used in rabbits - the rabbits veins were occluded after 8 weeks without any complications. The results are very auspicious for using ELVS in human medicine.
