Abstract
This contribution is the first partial outcome of a three-year project named Democracy at Czech Schools, supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic. Basically, the project endeavours to tell to which extent the current Czech school can be regarded as a democratic institution.

Příspěvek je prvním (dílčím) výstupem z tříletého výzkumného projektu s názvem Demokracie v českých školách, jenž je podporován Grantovou agenturou České republiky. Základním tématem tohoto projektu je otázka, do jaké míry je možno chápat současnou českou školu jako demokratickou instituci.
