The city of Brno belongs to the category of medium sized cities in Europe and since 1989 it went through substantial changes of the local economy. Deindustrialization and the restructuring of the production impacted the development policy of the city and real estate market in Brno. The new role of the city within the networked economy is a principle question of the city development.

Město Brno patří do kategorie středně velkých evropských měst a od roku 1989 prochází podstatnými změnami zdejšího hospodářství. Deindustrializace a restrukturalizace výroby má v Brně dopad na rozvojovou politiku města a trh s nemovitostmi. Postavení města v novém ekonomickém systému je základní otázkou jeho rozvoje.
