Abstract

Sedlčany 24.6.200314.7.2003. Výstava je rozdělena do tří částí, které přibližně odpovídají chronologickému členění na pravěk, středověk a novověk. V každé z těchto částí jsou vystavené exponáty rozděleny ještě do dvou samostatných oddílů. První oddíl se vždy zabývá výskytem chorob v daném historickém období a v druhém oddíle se popisuje způsob jejich léčení na základě odpovídajícího lidského poznání té doby. Součástí výstavy je i dioráma o narození a smrti člověka, situované do 18.století a výstavu doplňují panely se jmény slavných osobností, které se nejvýznamněji zapsaly do dějin české a světové medicíny.

Abstract (in English)

Sedlčany 24.6.200314.7.2003, Czech Republic. The exhibition is divided into three parts which approximately correspond chronologically to the Prehistoric Period, the Middle Ages and the New Ages. The exhibits in each of these parts are divided yet again into two individual sections. The first section always deals with the emergence of diseases in the given historic period, while the second section describes the means of curing them based on the corresponding human understanding of the time. The exhibition also includes slides on man s birth and death dating up to the 18th century. The exhibit is complemented by panels with the names of prominent people who most significantly influenced the history of Czech and world medicine.
